Foodbike is a social enterprise that aims to empower individuals and families from less privileged communities to earn a sustainable income and eradicate poverty.
Like any business, starting an F&B business would mean having to fork in a large sum as an initial capital – something that can be a tall order for the less privileged, significantly when their incomes have been affected throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, we didn’t want these roadblocks to deter their ambition. So, we asked ourselves, how can the urban poor earn an income without worrying about the technicalities of opening up a business? We decided on a concept that enables women, people with disabilities and young adults to start a home-based business equipped with everything they need to earn an income.
Our mission is to empower those in the B40 community to earn an income and build a better future for themselves and their families. With Foodbike, we are set out to accomplish one thing: to curb urban poverty.
